Good social skills allow kids to enjoy better peer relationships.
Children with better social skills are likely to reap immediate benefits. For example, one study found that good social skills reduces stress in children.
Good social skills also can help kids have a brighter future. Unfortunately, children who lacked social and emotional skills were more likely to have substance abuse issues, relationship issues, and legal trouble.
For that reason, one of the 3 focus areas at iCare is social skills development.
Pre-K Cooking
Sensory Cooking Classes
iCare’s baby cooking classes allow little ones to socialize and enhance their sense of taste and smell.
iCare guided recipes also allow children to understand the importance of a sequential process.
Children also learn hand-eye coordination and even a little math, when they use proportions to measure out ingredients
iCare’s cooking sessions are always bursting with fun and excitement, with menus and recipes designed just for babies.
iCare also makes it a point to help children understand the importance of cleaning up after themselves, teaching them responsibility.
Little Readers
Little readers program, the written word...
Children's books can help our kids see the world from different perspectives and build empathy with others.
At just a few months of age, an infant can look at pictures, listen to your voice, and point to objects on cardboard pages.
There is no more important activity for preparing your child to succeed as a reader than reading aloud together.
Reading helps them develop language and listening skills and prepares them to understand the written word.
Arts& Crafts
Arts & Crafts to celebrate creativity, expression and dexterity.
iCare’s art and craft sessions are phenomenal for improving a child’s motor skills, hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
Besides the obvious physiological benefits, these arts and crafts classes are also designed to boost self-esteem, inspire expression and help children find a creative voice.
At iCare we work closely with every child, imploring them on their source of inspiration, allowing them to create something meaningful and personal.
